Drying anise, coriander seed, and cumin is a simple process that can be doneby using Twesix food dehydrator or an oven. Here's how to dry each spice:
Here are the process:
Anise: Spread the anise seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to its lowest temperature (usually around 50℃) and place the baking sheet in the spices drying oven. Dry the anise seeds for 8-10 hours or until they are completely dry and crispy,which can be ground into powder .
Coriander seed: Spread the coriander seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet. Preheat the coriander drying oven to its lowest temperature (usually around 50℃) and place the baking sheet in the oven. Dry the coriander seeds for 3-4hours or until they are completely dry and crispy.
Cumin: Spread the cumin seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to its lowest temperature (usually around 50℃) and place the baking sheet in the oven. Leave the oven door slightly ajar to allow moisture to escape. Dry the cumin seeds for 2-3 hours or until they are completely dry and crispy.
Alternatively, you can use Twesix Spices dehydrator to dry these spices. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the specific machine you are using, but in general, you will need to dry the spices at a low temperature (around 40-50℃) for several hours until they are dry and crispy.
